Wedge Cast-Iron Gate Valve

Wedge Cast-Iron Gate Valve

A Wedge Cast-Iron Gate Valve is a manual or automated valve that uses a wedge-shaped disc to regulate the flow of fluids in a piping system. The valve features a cast-iron body and components, which provide strength, durability, and resistance to corrosion. It has a linear motion, multi-turn general service valve. Primarily for on/off, non-throttling services. It is operated by lifting a barrier away from the flow path & there is no obstruction to the flow when fully opened. It is a metal-seated valve manufactured to SABS 664 & 665 standards suitable for isolation and scouring purposes.

Key Features:

1. Durability: Cast-iron construction provides strength and durability, making the valve suitable for harsh operating conditions. Cast iron also has a natural resistance to corrosion, which extends the life of the valve.
2. High Pressure Rating: Wedge Cast-Iron Gate Valves can handle high pressure ratings, making them suitable for various industrial applications.
3. Low Maintenance: The valve’s simple design and cast-iron construction make it easy to maintain and repair.
4. Cost-Effective: Wedge Cast-Iron Gate Valves are often less expensive than other types of gate valves, making them a cost-effective solution.
